What is FileMaker Pro?
FileMaker Pro is a cross-platform database application known for its ease of use and unique GUI-based design interface. FileMaker Pro clients are available for both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems as well as a free version for Apple iOS devices such as the iPad and iPhone.
How do I get FileMaker Pro?
FileMaker Pro licenses are acquired through CFPA ITS. The current initial cost for a new client license is about $170 with a biennial maintenance fee of about $50. Please submit a support request if you need a FileMaker Pro client. Currently there is no cost for hosting a database on the CFPA ITS FileMaker server.
Can CFPA ITS help design or fix my database?
Currently CFPA ITS is only staffed to maintain the FileMaker Pro server and cannot provide support with designing, fixing, or adapting databases for the web. This service is intended to provide secure and reliable network based access to FileMaker databases and is not a development service.
How do I get my database hosted on the server?
Please review the College's FileMaker Database Hosting Policy and then complete the upload form. CFPA ITS personnel will contact you once your submission has been reviewed.
